Macron Reacted To Putin's Proposal For Istanbul

The Kremlin is feverishly looking for a way out.
French President Emmanuel Macron responded to Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin's initiative to resume talks in Istanbul. He called such a step "insufficient."
According to France 24.
He said Putin's proposal is "a first step, but insufficient."
"An unconditional ceasefire is not preceded by negotiations," Macron told reporters as he got off a train in the Polish city of Peremyshl on his return from a trip to Ukraine.
He added that Putin was "looking for a way out, but he still wants to buy time."
On the night of May 11, the Kremlin chief held a late-night press conference. During it, Putin offered to hold direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul.
