Zelensky: China Asked Ukraine To Refrain From Strikes On Moscow On May 9

The Ukrainian president said that Kiev had fulfilled its promise.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that China as well as other states have asked Ukraine not to attack the Russian capital Moscow during the May 9 parade. He said this during a meeting with journalists on May 13, which was broadcast by "Suspilne" on YouTube.

"We have received a signal from the Chinese side that they support the 30-day ceasefire that Ukraine is proposing, as well as signals from China and other states that it would be fair to go for a full ceasefire and that on these dates, from the 8th to the 10th, there would be security in the region where many leaders, including China, will be. We understand what we are talking about," the president said.

He emphasized that Ukraine has once again confirmed that it always sticks to its promises.

"No strikes, despite the propaganda of the Russians, there were no strikes on the May 9 parade," Zelensky recalled.
