The new Toyota bZ5 has gone into production and is hitting the market. The low-cost electric coupe-crossover is richly equipped and available in versions with a range of up to 630 kilometers.
The new Toyota electric crossover was revealed on CarNewsChina.
The Toyota bZ5 electric car is the production version of last year's bZ3C concept. The crossover will challenge the Tesla Model Y, as it has similar dimensions.

The new Toyota bZ5 externally has not changed in comparison with the prototype and has retained a dynamic silhouette with a pronounced "nose", arched roof, curved window line and pointed rear end. Slim diode headlights and lights are a traditional feature of Toyota electric cars.
In the interior one can feel the influence of Toyota bZ electric crossover. The steering wheel and the digital dashboard located high up. At the same time, the electric car received a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen. The trunk volume is 463 liters.
The Toyota bZ5's equipment is quite rich - it includes 21-inch disks, panoramic roof, JBL acoustics with 10 speakers, parking autopilot, 9 airbags, a set of electronic "assistants" and a system of semi-autonomous driving.
The Toyota bZ5 electric car debuted in a front-wheel drive 272-horsepower version. Top speed is limited at 160 km/h. A choice of 65.3 and 74 kW∙h batteries is offered: the range is 550 and 630 km, respectively.
The electric crossover is produced at the FAW-Toyota enterprise in China, which allowed to reduce its cost. It is in China that sales of the model have already started at a price starting from 130,000 yuan ($18,000).
