This is the second major infrastructure failure in Europe in less than a month.
In Spain today, all mobile networks across the country are out of service - there is no cell phone service and no internet in the country.
This is reported by "RBC-Ukraine".
The publication writes that the outage has affected many operators, including Movistar, Vodafone and Orange.
Cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville have been significantly affected. This is the second major infrastructure failure in Europe in less than a month.
Subscribers are unable to make calls, receive texts or use mobile services as a result of the outage. According to DownDetector the problems began around 5am local time.
The outage also affected emergency phone lines as the pan-European emergency number 112 became unavailable in some parts of Spain.
The likely cause of the problem is a glitch in the system of Telefónica, which is the operator of most of Spain's mobile networks. It is reported that the company carried out a network upgrade that went awry, resulting in a nationwide blackout for millions of people in Spain.
