There Is A Pension Trap From Which Practically No Belarusian Is Insured

Nearly 50,000 workers have already lost some seniority.

Arrears of organizations and individual entrepreneurs on insurance contributions to the Social Security Fund (SSF) amounted to Br5.2 million on April 1 this year. For comparison: on January 1, it was Br5.1 million, and in early 2022 - Br4 million, writes "Mirror".

What threatens employees with the employer's debt to the SPF

If the organizations and individual entrepreneurs do not pay off the overdue debt to the SPF, the employees may suffer first of all. Labor experience is counted when paying mandatory insurance contributions to the budget of the fund.

At the beginning of 2020, 43.8 thousand employees fell into the pension trap. Due to non-payment of contributions to the budget of the Federal Social Security Fund, they do not have insurance record for the periods of time actually worked by them. We are talking about organizations that work in normal conditions, liquidated in the general civil procedure and declared bankrupt.

At the same time, due to the declaration of organizations bankrupt, at least 47 thousand workers have already lost part of the length of service for pension accrual, said in the justification to the bill on contributions to the Federal Social Security Fund, reported earlier in the Ministry of Labor.
