Dmitry Peskov told about the preparation of the document.
The Russian side is "not interested" in delaying the preparation of a memorandum with Ukraine. As "Correspondent", Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said at a briefing on Wednesday, May 21.
"No one is interested in dragging out the process, everything is working dynamically. We will keep you informed," he said.
Peskov said that the work on the draft memorandum with Ukraine cannot be public.
"It is understood that most of this work is being done in a discrete mode, and it should not be open in public," the Kremlin spokesman added.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said on May 19 that he was ready to propose and work with Ukraine on a possible memorandum on a future peace treaty.
The Kremlin later clarified that there was "no" timeframe for preparing a memorandum with Ukraine.
