The country's air alert has been canceled.
Israel's armed forces have announced the interception of all Iranian drones and ballistic missiles that were sent in response to a massive strike on Iran, Ynet writes (translated by The Moscow Times.
A total of about a hundred drones were launched and were intercepted outside Israeli airspace, Israel assured. Israeli authorities informed the public that the alert had been canceled and allowed to leave places near shelters.
"There is no longer a need to stay near protected areas," the country's Home Front Command said.
According to Israeli army spokeswoman Effie Defrin, 200 warplanes were involved in the bombing overnight, hitting more than 100 targets in Iran. The fighter jets attacked a uranium enrichment facility near Natanz.
"This is the largest uranium enrichment facility in Iran, which has been working for years to produce nuclear weapons," the Israeli army press office said.
Israeli authorities also confirmed the deaths of Iran's military leaders: the armed forces' chief of general staff and deputy army commander. Israel estimates that the war against Iran will last several weeks.
