A U.S. Ship Was Involved In Intercepting The Latest Missile Salvo From Iran

The U.S. has delivered an Aegis ship to the region.

The U.S. Navy's Aegis system was involved in intercepting the latest missile salvo from Iran on the evening of June 17.

As "Details" reported by Channel 12, citing Channel 12, in addition to the two THAAD batteries that are fully engaged in intercepting the missiles along with Israel's Hez system, the U.S. has brought a ship with the Aegis system to the region. The ship is anchored off the coast of Israel and participated in the interdiction effort for the first time today.

The Aegis system was developed by Lockheed Martin for the U.S. Navy and is one of the most advanced defense systems against threats from the air and sea.

At the time of the latest salvo, eight missiles were fired from Iran and alarms sounded in the center of the country. Interceptions were seen in the skies over Gush Dan, and no casualties were reported. A few minutes later, the Home Front Service announced that it was safe to leave the protected areas.
