Trump: Musk Is A Great Guy

The U.S. president responded to the businessman's criticism.

Businessman Ilon Musk is a smart man, but he was upset about the U.S. administration's new policy on the electric car industry, President Donald Trump told Fox News.

"I think he's a great guy. I know he's always going to do well. He's a smart man. He even got involved in my campaign, you know, helping out there, doing different things. But he was a little bit upset at the end, and it was inappropriate," he said.

Trump explained that the issue at stake was Musk's failure to secure the authorities' continued support for the electric car industry. According to the president, people should have a choice of what kind of car they want to drive, even though electric cars are "fantastic" and Trump himself likes them.

One of Musk's assets is the production of electric cars Tesla, Trump told that he bought one such car for himself.
