A significant portion of the affected aircraft were irretrievably destroyed.
The Security Service of Ukraine has shown some of the most vivid videos of Russian strategic aviation planes being hit by the results of the special operation "Spider's Web". A significant part of them were destroyed "irrevocably", while individual affected aircraft will take "long years" to rebuild.
The video of the strikes was released by the SBU press service on Wednesday, June 4.
In particular, the footage recorded strikes by SBU FPV drones on four enemy airfields: "Olenya", "Ivanovo", "Diagilevo" and "Belaya", where strategic aviation of the aggressor state was based, which regularly shells peaceful Ukrainian cities.
The SBU noted that among the affected aircraft are A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160, as well as An-12 and Il-78.
The special service reported that during the operation modern technologies of controlling unmanned aerial vehicles were used, which combined autonomous algorithms of artificial intelligence with manual control of operators.
It is noted that in some cases, when UAVs lost the signal, they automatically switched to the task along a predetermined route, using artificial intelligence systems. At the moment of approaching a certain target, the combat part was launched automatically after fixing contact with the object.
On June 4, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that half of the 41 Russian aircraft hit during the Ukrainian Security Service's operation "Spider Web" could not be recovered.
